AXXTEQ GmbH had been established in 1999 by its founder and CEO Dr. Andreas Scholz. The company's mission is to develop innovative systems and solutions for the access and revenue control markets and to offer these products worldwide.
Today, the AXXTEQ team is active in three main business areas:
XparQ: AXXTEQ offers state-of-the-art revenue control systems for operators of public and private car parks. Based on our own IP-based technology, the integrated XPARQ system offers a unified platform for ticket-based access control, digital CCTV and voice-over-IP based audio intercom. Employing Internet communication technology on each level of the system makes it easy to monitor car park operations from virtually any place.
The first system had successfully been put to operation in an Aachen car park in mid 2000. Since then, numerous systems had been implemented in many car parks in Europe and overseas.
Axxess:
In a second step AXXTEQ extended its Internet-centric system platform to support access and revenue control functionality for leisure facilities. Since 2001 many installations habe been made for public swimming pools, ice skating centres, public libraries and other facilities. In addition, AXXTEQ have implemented ticketing systems for public transport authorities.
Kioxx:
In the business area launched most recently, AXXTEQ implements Electronic Kiosk Systems for the vending of pre-paid products. Potential applications include mobile phone top-ups, pre-paid vouchers for Internet payment, tickets for public transport and many others. Each electronic kiosk works autonomously and provides Internet connectivity via GPRS/UMTS. A central Internet-based management portal forwards products to the kiosks and also provides for the online monitoring of all machines.Within the first year after product launch, close to 500 kiosks will be operational.
All AXXTEQ products are based on the same modular system platform, which has constantly been developed since 1999. Due to its Internet-oriented concept, it is ideally suited for the design of distributed access and revenue control systems for different markets and applications.
Due to this concept, AXXTEQ is in the position to implement solutions for new applications and customized projects at moderate costs.
